anyone know approximately when fiddleheads start poking up here in central maine? ???

 I just picked a few down back after work.........most of them had gone by, they are early this year. I would think that most places just north of Augusta must be prime picking right now.

I got a batch on sunday but they were mostly gone by then in monmouth
