Any of you Manitoba boys try these hooks in our waters? What is your opinions on them?

what do these hooks look like? ??? never heard of them. :-\

Slow Death hooks are the key to the "Slow Death" rig developed in South Dakota. Basically a half crawler is threaded on a Slow Death hook and trolled slowly behind a bottom bouncer. The bend in the hook causes the bait to rotate in large circles behind the bouncer. Used this rig for years, before the Slow Death hook came out we used Tru Turn plastic worm hooks- almost the same thing. Works awesome on finicky walleyes.

This is the video of them in action.

GrandRapidsGizmo have you tried using these for trout?

Nope, just wallys. Works great drifting on the Saskatchewan river in town.

I have used them on a crawler harness last year for walleyes on LOTW....worked well. 8)

I've heard of them but never tried them myself. They look awesome and they would get tangled up a lot less then a spinner I would think.
Im sure they obviously have a special bend on them, but I have a couple plain single hooks in my tackle box....think Id be able to bend one to look and act similar in the water ?

That is exactly how they started in the first place actually. Some pros were getting good results by bending Aberdeen hooks (the kind of hooks on pickeral rigs). They were then able to convince Mustad to make them specifically. So, yes is my answer, give it a try.

I'll have give it a try.
