-Scott
-
i may not watch on tv but im trying to stay up to date lance and usa all the way
-
Shoot, missed out today and yesterday, where are the updates? Aren't there some cycling freaks out there?
-
sorry mike havent seen the updates myself but will let ya know asap
-
Glad to see Lance back in the Yellow Jersey after today's team time trials. Too bad they put in that new time clause for team trials, or lance would have over a minute lead over his nearest rivals. I wonder if they'll take it out after lance retires? Sounds like another French conspiracy.
U.S. Postal riders now have the top 7 positions(I think).
-
Nice, pretty much taking out Mayo yesterday on the cobblestones!
Today, posties put on a team time trialing clinic, that was kewl! A team couldn't lose more than3 minutes in the TTT, the rule didn't really come into play for any of his rivals. So far I don't think Lance could have scripted it out any better.

USA USA USA MY PARENTS WILL BE HAPPY THEY WORK FOR THE USPS
GO LANCE
-
Good to see Lance start to assert his dominance today in stage 12. He's now in 2nd place, but I think after tomorrow's stage he will be back in the yellow jersey. Tomorrow's stage 13 looks like one killer of a stage.
-
The team sure put the hurt on today! Tomorrow may be a big day for sure.

fastribs, If you get the outdoor life network (OLN) on your TV, the tour de france is on there every day. If you don't get that channel, then you can follow along with either of these links:

I really respect all of these athletes. I think I would die after about 40 miles. These guys are great, and lance armstrong, well, 5 straight wins... that's almost impossible. I hope he gets his 6th.
-
man what a race watched that last climb today from abot 30 kilos from the finish usps did a job and looks like lance will easily win as long as he has no problems i mean the only one who has hung with him so far are his teamates who drop away at the end and the guy who won yesterday and who finished second today and lance took his time today at the end and that german guy jaun eurlrich i think maybe thats how its spelled looks like hes dead
-
hey scott by the way how many site do you have
-
I just heard that Lance took the stage win with basso 2nd, and Ullrich 3rd. The Yellow Jersey has returned to Lance for the rest of the tour, barring anything unforseen!
-
ALRIGHT I THINK IF HE STAYS OUT OF TROUBLE HE WINS WITH NO PROBLEMS
-
Way to go Lance!!! He destroyed everybody on the time trial today!!!
-
who was that that lance caught in the time trials today and did you see all the poeople in the course i think it was today looked like thyey were over the barriers
-
Fastribs,
Lance caught Ivan Basso(who is in 2nd place)and passed him on the time trial. They start 2 minutes apart and lance was able to beat him by 2' 23" today. Now he has a little more breathing room with 3'48" on Basso.
-
Lance is just unstoppable. I love how he stole the stage from Kloden. Too bad Landis couldn't have attacked earlier and gotten the stage win.
-
Almost too easy!
-
whats left in the tour
-
I congratulate lance armstrong for winning his 6th straight tour de france yesterday! Way to get into sports history!
-
Well, Lance starts his bid for 7 in a row today. Let's all hope everything goes smooth and he can bring it home. Good Luck Lance and the Discovery Team. And good luck Scott, on matching half the miles ridden in le' tour. Today's 1st step for you - a 5.9 mile time trial. Try to beat 20 mph avg.
-
Wow, Bean laying down the gauntlet. We are all cheering for Lance and Scott.
Good Luck to both.

Looks like Lance has his plan in action putting 1-2 mins on his main rivals already. Passing Jan in the prolouge TT pretty much says it all! 4 americans in the top 6 is awsome to. I cranked out a 20.9mph average speed for my 6.5 mile time trial, first time I have ever gone into the 20's! Almost half a Lance...lol ::)
-Scott
-
Way to go, Scott. That's a great average speed. I think after tomorrow's team time trial, we'll see lance in his familiar yellow jersey once again. It's also good to see how well the american riders are doing with 6 in the top 15. David Zabriskie seems to be loosening up a little in front of the camera. lol. Hopefully we'll see some more positive results from american riders after lance's reign is over.

lance thinks france is a better country than the usa? sounds like hes had 1 to many falls!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes hes still a great athelete even if he squats to pee. viva the usa and ta hell with the french!!!!!!!!!!
-
Squats? They urinate right off the bike while going 30mph, you try that once :w00t: LOL

I don't know where you got your information from, but I have never heard that from him. I've heard that from Johnny Depp, though.
-
That's terrible that David Zabriskie crashed. And only 1200 meters from the finish. Well, Lance now has the Yellow jersey once again. Hopefully, he can keep it for the remainder of the tour. It's great to see 3 americans in the top 4 spots after this 4th stage.
-
Unless someone puts a huge lead on Lance before the hill stages, there is no reason he should not be wearing the yellow jersey at the end. Of course, he will have to avoid any crashes or spectators (like the one who ran into him last year). Go Lance!!!!
-
Looks like the discovery channel boys are turnin' the screws on the rest of the field as they approach the first mountaintop finish of the tour on Courcheval....I'm more addicted to velonews.com during July than to MFF.
-
What an awesome display today by Lance and Valverde. Lance slowly disposed of his biggest rivals one by one going up the mountain. I was really surprised to see Vino crack and lose over 5 minutes to Lance. Can't wait to see the recap on OLN tonight. The discovery boys set a great pace to shake off some pretenders and set up Lance perfectly.
-
I was actually glad to see Velverde get the stage win. Nice guy who can do it all despite his young age, although the extra couple of seconds Armstrong could have snagged in the time bonuses would have given him a few more seconds over Rasmussen. That guy (rasmussen) is simply amazing considering he was basically solo for most of the stage sunday. My prediction is that Ivan Basso is going to have a big day tommorrow!
-
What an incredible and thrilling ride by Super Domestique George Hincapie today! I was so happy to see him finally get his first ever stage win in the tour. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Ivan showed that he is still Lance's main threat. What a great ride by him today also. Now Lance can rest a slight bit easier being 2:46 ahead of Ivan. A very good showing by team discovery today with 3 guys on the podium(Big George, Lance, and Popovych). Also good to see USA members Levi Leipheimer and Floyd Landis now in the top 7 of GC. Floyd's hometown is only about 50 miles from me.
And finally, one of the jerks running alongside the riders bit it today. I bet he got a nice burn from the pipes on that one. What an idiot!

Nice wrapup Ken, you said it all.

The Discovery Channel team had another great day today with "El Falco" Savoldelli winning the stage and now the team is leading the overall team catagory over T-mobile by 35 seconds. That is a very strong team they have assembled to protect Lance. It will be interesting who they pick as the leader for next year's team. I don't think they'll take on Vino(even though he would like them to), but maybe promote "Poppy" to the position.
I wonder if Lance will try to go for the stage win tomorrow? He likes those uphill finishes to separate himself from the crowd. If not, he will have a good chance with Saturday's individual time trial.
-
There's not much more that can be said about Lance and his Tour de France accomplishments. It's incredible how someone can be so much more prepared and focused than 180 other riders for 7 straight years. It's highly unlikely we will ever see something done like that again in our lifetime. And hats off to Jan Ullrich and Ivan Basso. Undoubtedly, I see Ivan winning the tour in the next few years. It seems that Jan finally was in top notch shape during the 3rd week of the tour. I wonder how much closer he would have been without those crashes. I don't know if Levi Leipheimer has that extra little bit needed to be a tour winner, but I like his attitude and persistance. Congrats to all who finished the tour, as it takes a dedicated athlete to do that!
