Title: Seafood Chowdah
Post by: Mac Attack on May 22, 2021, 12:45 PM
I invited about 40 people to our place here on Erie for some seafood chowder.  I made a huge stock pot of it.
2 huge cans of clams with chicken stock, tons of chopped garlic, old bay seasoning and lots of pepper to start the base stock.
Simmered it for 90 minutes.
Then added diced red potatoes, celery and onions.  Then 2 bags of frozen corn and 3 cans of peas and carrots.
A handful of bay leaves.
Some Worchester sauce.
Then after it simmered for 20 minutes.
Then added about 8-9 lbs of diced walleye fillets.
Then added a huge bag of cooked salad shrimp.
Brought it back to a simmer and killed the heat.
I don’t want the walleye and shrimp turning to mush.
It will now steep for an hour or so.
I’ll move it out onto the grill side burner to be warmed up later as needed.
People are bringing munchies and side dishes.
My buddy Jim has a crock pot of jambalaya.
I also bought beer, pop, and bottled water.
And of course I have limes and a 1.75 liter of Repasado.
Gonna be fun!

Must have missed my invitation. I should read my email more often.

Sounds like fun and a great meal. Enjoy!
