I saw that Queensryche/Metallica show too - in Pittsburgh.  Won the tickets on the radio.  We were in the front row right at the speakers.  My ears rang for a week.

The String Cheese Incident!
It was called Full Moon Dream Dance. July 2000. I still have the shirt.
It was a three day festival in North Plains, Oregon.
And get this: I was security! My job was to check for fireworks because we were on private property in the forest.

Man, oh man. What a weekend...

I guess it all depends on how young you are!!  In the 1970's, and at Rich Stadium, Buffalo, NY, we had "Superfest's" or "Summerfests". : 1976- Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones was an amazing show, I liked Clapton when I saw him as well.

Note to all, new rock bands (MCR, Coheed and Cambria, FallOut Boy, Taking Back Sunday etc.) can't put on a good show, I swear. I've gone to six, and they all suck, these dorks can't sing outside of a studio. ::)
