Lockport Sunday
« on: Jul 10, 2006, 06:23 PM »
Went to lockport on sunday with my cousin it was his first time ever fishing the Red River and right away he caught a 25" 5 or 6 pound Cat awesome ;D ;D ;D. So we fished for about 4 and half hours and caught 4 Saugers 1 Cat and about 60 or 70 Drum a great day out ;D ;D. They must have opened the gates more because water levels had gone up almost a foot so all in all it was a great day ;D ;D ;D. The funny thing was that they weren't bitting on the jigheads at all not even one fish on a jig head. They were bitting on cat rigs with just a little bit of a smaller hook and weight that was 1 and a 1/2 ounce lots of fun ;D ;D
