best time?

What does everyone think is the best time to catch a brown. I've never caught one and would really like to. Ill most likely be fishing from the piers in Fair Haven or trolling just off shore.

Browns usually start feeding heavily mid April  then slowly taper off around the last 2 weeks in May, it all depends on the water temperature...

Browns around here in our large rivers and smaller creeks are aggressive year round. I like early spring and also fall best. Of course they are abundant here. I haven't fished for them in lakes much.

fall is the best, but winter can be good too. Browns are pretty easy to catch, just get it out of your head that they are "smarter" and treat them like you do any other trout and you will do great. They like rocky areas and, in rivers, like faster water with rocks. They like runs and riffles the most.
