I live in Hayward and have fished theese lakes all my life.  the chippewa flowage is the best to catch  both species at the same outing.  however I would check out the quiet lakes chain.  i caught a 56.5" musky there and there are lots of walleyes too.   theres a million options in hayward

Stayed for a week ,last summer on the chippewa flowage , on the river at Muskytale Resort. We loved it so much that we made reservations for june of this year. Absolutely hammer the small mouth-2 to 4 lbers everyday. caught some walleye but not as many as would have liked. looking for some help or at least good spots on the lake.
Thanks Tom

How is the water level going to be this year? Did the drought affect Hayward any or the Flowage?

I know a lot of the lake levels should be up this year. We have had some good snowfall and some good rains.   But, that can change in a heartbeat.

If you want a chance at some real monsters that don't get pressured often, try Lake 26..... not as many fish as chippewa but larger on average I would say.
