Lake Manitoba at the Narrows
« on: Apr 10, 2004, 02:07 PM »
Can anyone tell me a little bit about the narrows? I am very interested in fishing there, a friend of mine and I were thinking of trying it out this year.

Can you rent a boat or kayak or a canoe right at the narrows?

Thanks

Icebraker just look up lake manitoba Narrows on the net and they show the prices for renting their boats and cabins. This place is nothing short of amazing for the trophy walleye that are caught in the spring and fall. The perch fishing is amazing and you will catch your share of trophy freshwater drum also. I have yet to catch a northern but there are some beauties in this area. If you rent a boat try anchoring beside the bridge or drift fish with a bottom bouncer and spinning rig. The only bad thing about the narrows is if the wind picks up you stand no chance of getting out. It can get awfully dangerous in no time. ::) ::) ::)
