Sure, use spiderwire stealth or power pro. I use 50# so I can move rocks, but 30# should be plenty.

Approx 25-30 bucks. Check Cdn Tire or Wal mart.

I bought a 150yd roll of 50# last week for 14 bucks! I only need 300yd spools for my big bait casters, I use a spinning reel most of the time. 150yd of 50# fills my Shimano Baitrunner 3500 nicely.

stealth

I hate power pro, I use this stuff. Some folks love the power pro though, it may be worth a try.

im a fan of stealth on spinning reels. . .but not on baitcasters. i find it cuts into itself.  awesome for jigging but i just took it off my baitcaster the other day.

for a baitcaster i like power pro. its a bit rounder then the stealth and fire line and not as stiff so a lot easier to cast.

150 yards of stealth is going for about $17.99
Power Pro is usually $20-30 depending on where you buy it

all i used to use for cats was #30 big game line which is a monofilament line made by berkley. i kept it on my reel for 3 seasons (which i know you arent suppost to do) but it still doesnt have much memory and its still strong.
