I can't say as I personally recall anyone talking about this, but judging from the pics the lay of the land could easily be the Omaha or Winnebago Indian Res. close to the towns of Macy and Winnebago Nebraska. I live about 45 miles south of there and had a Great Uncle with a farm on the Omaha Res that I used to hunt as a kid. I'll ask around here and see if anyone recalls anything about this buck. I also know the warden for the area that surrounds both reservations so I'll ask him about it when I see him next time. I'm not sure but if it was taken on Indian ground in Nebraska I do not believe it would have to be checked in.

Like I said guys and gals I live very close to most of the Reservations in the State and have never heard of this buck being taken, I'll investigate a little and see what I can find out
