« on: Apr 01, 2010, 03:53 PM »
I'm looking to buy a Garmin 300c fishfinder/or a Humminbird 345 and was wondering if anyone on here has one and do you like it.And what do you like-dislike about them.Any info would be deeply appreciated.
I only freshwater fish..

Is the color monitor better then the black/white

I'm looking to spend about $300-350

Color is the only way to go. Would you buy a black and white television? Garmin fishfinders IMO are inferior to Humminbird and Lowrance.

I have had great luck with Garmin fishfinders.  Very competitive in the $500 and less market.  My latest is the 541 combo and am impressed with that one too.
