A couple of fishing trips so far
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:03 AM »
Went to Pete lake on the long weekend in May. I caught a average of 10 a day but the average size fish is decreasing. I actually caught a 6" rainbow there for the first time in 18 years. The average fish was about 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. Here are some of the biggest.

My wife caught this one it was 4lbs, 22" long.

I caught this one . It was 5 lbs and 24" long.

I barely got it in as the hook was ready to fall out.

Measuring the fish.

This weekend that went by I also went to a laker lake and fishing was quite slow.
I only caught one fish but it was not too bad of a size. It was 33 1/2" long and 16lbs.

Nice fish Bill, Finseeker and I went to Stuart lk. Had about 10 char in the net biggest 6 to 8lb. and of coarse the big one got away. It hit in 70ft of water and the head shakes tossed the hook. Bad days fishin is still better than a good days work. Tight lines.

Those are beaut's!! I noticed the beads on your hook set up. Are you running baitfish on those? Just curious, I'm targeting lakers and salmon this year. Mostly with spoons and sticks. A new technique would be nice to try.

Thanks guys! The beads are for the rainbows and are called a wedding band tipped with worm. ;D
