Planning to come back here in the spring. When is it safe to plan a trip and not run into ice. I had a buddy tell me he ran into ice on trip around the end of may one year. i find that hard to believe, i would think the ice would be gone by March.

I plan on being in the area next week. How is the bite? Northerns biting? What is the water temp? Any info would be helpful
