Fished the refuge Friday. Temps were low to mid 40's and breezy. Kept three pike 25 to 26'' and five perch with the biggest at 12 1/2 inches.
Saturday turned out to be a nice day to fish. Caught 4 Largemouth 13 to 15 inches (released all of them) and kept 11 perch with a couple at 12 inches.
Pike weren't doing much, threw a lot of lures without much luck. Water temp was only 46 to 50 degrees. The pike have spawned and about half the perch had also. Surprised the pike weren't hitting better.
