What's the closest body of water to Spearfish(other than fly fishing) that is fishable?

My guess would be Belle Fourche reservoir, but there might be some smaller water up there that I don't know about. I don't get up that way much.

Hmm...I may have to ask some locals up here then.  I honestly have never fished Belle Fourche Reservoir.  I'll have to head out that way one of these days since its not terribly far from Spearfish.

I've never been there either, I hear it's pretty windy. Some friends have been catching walleyes tho. I also heard alot of people's vehicles are stranded in the mud up there right now so be careful.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll wait until things dry up before I try heading out there

Keyhole Reservoir is 1 hour from Spearfish and is fishing well at this time for walleye, crappie and catfish. None of those d**n trout in this lake.

Orman (Belle Fourche Reservoir) for sure!! Man I wish I lived only a few minutes from there........
