Last weekend, Friday to Saturday.
Friday -
Water temp: low to mid 50's
Water clarity:dirty
Winds: SSW to NNW
Air temp: 70°
Fished all day Friday without any knock-downs. Managed a few skate/rays/and smoothies. Sky was clear.Tossed fresh clam and peelers on FF rigs with 5/0 circles.
Saturday -
Water temp: low to mid 50's
Water clarity:clearing
Winds: NNW to N
Air temp: low 60's
Saturday started out sunny but then clouded over. The water cleared a bit so I figured it was looking fishy. Didn't manage much of anything early in the day and then at about 1 I had a knock-down on a FF rig baited with peeler. Felt some head shakes so I knew I was into a fish. Had it to just outside of the wash and couldn't get it in any further. It just didn't want to come over the break. Finally got it out of the wash and had a healthy looking 28" black drum. After a few pics it was released back into the suds to grow.
