Berkley Havoc
« on: Aug 07, 2012, 08:46 PM »
Hey guys,  I was wondering if any of you guys have tried the new Berkley Havoc stuff and what those of you who have tried them think of them.  I've seen them around but have a ton of plastics so I was wondering what people thought of them.

It's really not one of my favorites. If I have a choice, I usually go with the stinky salted YUM stuff or Northland Impulse plastics. The scents in those two really seem to bring more strikes. It seems like there are allot of new profiles though, that may trump scent in some cases.

If you decide to fish the crap out of Havoc, make sure we get a report! ;D

BTW, I love the username.... look out for al gore.

I have tried the Berkley Havoc Grass Pig and I don't mind it.  :)

The tale action in the water is not as aggressive as some of my other swimbaits but the pike and walleye went for quite well the trip that I tried it.
The tale also flutters on the fall, were as some swimbaits don't.

I was rigging it on a jig with a minnow shaped head and longer hook shank.
Adding a stinger hook near the tail area also helped me in the hook ups on those light bitters.
