Thanks. Back to turning today.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Took a break from a batch of new planes to experiment with a puzzle bunny.

I’ve had my scroll saw for quite a while and use it sometimes, but not often enough. I’ll be making more of this kind of thing. It was really fun and good practice on a machine I’m still not really familiar with.

My Bride gets the first of just about anything I make….that’s not a truck or car.

It’ll get better. I figured out I had the scroll saw blade in upside down.

You’d think that after 50 years doing woodworking, I’d know that. When I was cutting it I kept thinking  “ why is there so much sawdust on the table” .  71 3/4 year old brain fart I guess.

I got a laugh out of it anyway. And still got it cut out…HA!

Thanks. Thought I’d share a few pics of the chaos that is the little wood shop during toy making season….aka…..winter.

Couple little puzzles I was practicing on.

New band saw blade (no I’m not sponsored by Olsen)

Bench chaos

Planes being painted

Plane parts waiting to be painted

Propellers in process.

The rest of the shop is pretty good. Things get crowded when I have 2 or 3 things in process.

The latest additions to the fleet.

They were very time consuming but I like them.

I took a box of cars, tops and a couple other things to our new course superintendent the other day for his kids to play with. He told me yesterday that he had to take them away for a bit so they’d eat breakfast.I guess they were a big hit.

Working on drawings for a formula one car. Gonna make a prototype today. If it works out I’m going to make some from a chunk of cherry and some beautiful figured  Sepele Mahogany I have . These will be “man toys” when I’m done with them.

Worked on the prototypes today. Progress so far.

Gonna add some more stuff.,maybe a cockpit. Gonna do a bit more research. I’m happy so far.
