That's really cool Dom. Exercising your artistic side. I like it!

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

The marble machine so far. Center run is basically complete.

I like the added element of sound to the fun! I could see myself getting lost trying to replicate a “tune” that just happened to play out...  :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

I definitely get lost working on stuff in the shop. I generally go until I hit an impasse of some sort. My son and I are very much alike. Although he's a much more talented artist than I. We really enjoy the conception, problem solving and execution of an idea. The process seems very much like the little marble working it's way through the maze.

We started experimenting with some aerial elements yesterday. Time to get the marbles bouncing and flying around.

More to come.

I gave 3 of my friends at work the tic tac toe games for their kids. Happily, the kids love them. I've got a few more to hand out and have plans for a massive build in a few weeks. I'm gonna make 50 or so in one shot and put them up for sale.

Kind of wish I had thought about builidng stuff like this back when I owned my millwork business.

Yesterday I got the cutest thank you note from my friend's 6 year old daughter. She told her dad she wanted to thank me for the game and a little snowman I sent her at Christmas.

Almost made me cry. She has a permanent place on my Christmas list.

You betcha! My favorite recipients are little old ladies and kids.
Made some progress on the marble machine today. Still some fine tuning to do on it. My son and I collaborate on Sunday.

I'm really thankful to have this stuff to do. Unfortunately, ice fishing is out of the question for me. Raynaud's disease has closed the door on extended outdoor winter activity.

Life goes on.....life is good.
