Hope you get back to normal soon…..wait…..what the hell am I saying?..

Anyway, hope you feel better.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I try to do 4-5 hrs a day in the shop.  It’s surprising how long it takes to make this stuff. But a lot of it is just my fussyniss.

Good day for a nice warm wood shop. Been turning a bit. Making some of these.

Spalted maple bird houses. I’ve got a bunch of good material around to make a dozen or so. Think I’m gonna turn the little birds for them. I’ve got a bunch of random little cars to cut out too.

Keeping busy with an eye on spring.

Yeah, it’s pretty stuff. Found a good maple on the ground at the park nearby. It’s cool the way it gets colored and streaked like that. The little worm holes add to it. Not really easy to turn as its kind of fragile. A good challenge.

I’ve got some ash and locust I’m gonna play with today.

My buddy who I would call a master woodworker works for himself builds all custom stuff for people he's very good, when he's board he makes cutting boards, Everytime I take him fish or perogies or deer sausage he wants to give me cutting boards! These are a few notice the one with holes that's maple and those are old tap Holes the other is many cuts and re glued I love them!

This is a black walnut cabinet he built for me and gave to my wife for mom's day few years back , all the top drawer faces are cut from one piece of black walnut so all grains line up every single piece in it is black walnut , I wish I had the talent and patience he and you guys on here have to do this but I'm told I'm "To high strung" lol I can make log furniture because that's not an exact build!

That’s a very pretty piece.
I never spent much time making furniture. Oh, I’ve made some pieces over the last 50 or so years, but it’s never been my focus really. It’s kind of like wood turning. Everyone makes a big deal out of turning bowls. I’ve never turned a bowl and have no desire to.

Guess I’m just different.
