That looks real nice Mac! I really like the colors!
Can’t wait to see it in action out at your new camp!

Assembly required!

If it's not my boat, I typically don't want to work on it.

Can't use it though until I put it together.
Maybe tonight.

It took me 45 minutes to unpack it and cut up all the cardboard for the recycle bin.

But only 30 minutes to assemble it.

I’m impressed.
Very well built and thought out design.
Even has a bottle opener.

Here’s some pics of the final product.

Ok.  Forgot to install the chimney.  So just went out and dug those 2 screws and washers out of the trash bin that I thought were “extras” and mounted it.  Lol. (Dumbass)

Hopefully you seasoned it last night and have some nice pork butts in there now. Congratulations on your new toy. Your new boat looks big enough to put it in the bow. A small generator and you can enjoy some good Q on the water. Looking forward to pictures of the results.

Nope - it will stay clean till I get it out to the lake.
But yea, I'll definitely season it before any meat goes into it.

Look good, enjoy!

Did it take longer than 15 minutes to find the hardware and install? Or did it still take longer to unpack it and recycle the cardboard?

Look at my first post on this thing down below.

45 minutes to unpack and cut up the cardboard.
only like 20-30 minutes to assemble.
(and another 1-2 minutes to mount the chimney - lol)

I have it primed with pellets.
Waiting for it to cool down to put the grates, etc. back into it and then I'll run it through a burnoff cycle for 30-40 minutes or more.

That was my half hearted question. Did it take more than 15 minutes to find the hardware and install the chimney.

I fault COVID for the failed joke.

Enjoy the cuisine once it makes it to the lake!

I have it at 475 right now doing the burnout.
I'll let it run like that at 475 for another 30 minutes or so then cool it down and inspect things.
I just pulled an 8lb pork but out of the freezer.
If the boat is ready this week I'll pick it up and stay home this weekend to work on it.
So that means the pork butt gats cooked/smoked here.
If not, the butt and smoke both go to the lake and cooking/smoking will happen there this weekend.

Smoking some homemade Italian and Polish sausage I’ve had in the freezer for like forever.  Shakedown run!
