Was snooping around in the chest freezer looking for a prime, thick pork chop for dinner found it and a package of perch I forgot I had. (Chest freezers have a way of doing that).
Anyway, a nice jar of pickled perch was the result.



Stuffing for the pork chop from my home made bread in the background…….in the works.

Donna and I had a grilled cheese and meatloaf for dinner last night.
I used some of the leftover meatloaf I made a few weeks back (it was in the freezer, and I thawed it of course).
You were right - awesome!

Tonight, I have a batch of chicken and dumplings in the crockpot doing its thing.

Spinach  Ricotta stuffed shells
Clams casino
Meatballs in cranberry chili sauce
A  Charcuterie board
And candy and nuts scattered around

I love cooking for a party.

Made a crackpot meatloaf...I have never done it before....don't know why I cook in crackpot all the time ...anyhow came out really good
Meatloaf mustard hotsauce sandwiches tomorrow

At it again. Made a double batch of sausage today, 16 pounds of links tonight. I have 20 pounds of bulk in the fridge to be stuffed and smoked for snack sticks tomorrow morning.

Pork butt is on sale locally.
I'm going to pick up 60 or so pounds tomorrow.
My sister and BIL want to help make sausage.
So, we will do, 20 of Polish, 20 of Italian, and 20 bfast.
Then split it 50/50

Was at Walmart and they had 1/2 sugardale smoked hams on sale for .98cents a lb ..I bought 14 of them ..gave 12 to veterans outreach in Rochester kept 2 for us ..great deal I can't even buy the fresh pork and make my own that cheap !!

I feel that any meat under $2/lb is a deal.
