Broodstock Brookies

I'm not usually one to chase the stock trucks, but went with my buddies plan to fish one of the ponds that was recently stocked with broodstock brook trout. I have fond memories of catching them as a youth in NH streams and have always considered them one of the most beautiful fish in the area.
We hit a hot bite and landed our limit in an hour once we found them. Biggest was only 17" at 2 1/2 lbs, but these were some pretty fish. Not bad for ct tank scrubbers.


Also saw 2 golden eagles circling the lake. Awesome birds. First sighting for me. Great day.
