Rock Hoping in the Whites
« on: Jul 11, 2021, 04:54 PM »
Haven’t posted much here, hope you all are having a good summer and are well….
I spent the day up north in the White Mountains rock hoping and catching wild brookies…
Biggest was a solid 8” smallest was about 4”… water levels were perfect for where I was and cold.  Hiked a solid 2 miles up and back. The soaked my feet in the cold water then headed back to my sister camp for a hearty breakfast

Royal coachman pattern

Great pattern, one of my favorites.
It is understood that fishing licenses, gas, bait, etc., all cost money, but try not to let a limit of trout be your only gauge for success. – Ben Nugent, (NH F&G) Regional Fisheries Biologist
