Bassfisher,

The smallmouths are really coming in now at Wachusett and you can get alot of action fishing the coves on RT110 & Rt 70 sides.  Good Luck

I will be fishing of off RT 110 tomorrow and Monday looking for salmon, lakers, and big white perch. This is a great time of the year for the mixed bag at Wachusett.

I am surprised you dudn't get them to hit. They are usually agressive right now. Keep at it! There are huge smallies there.

Sounds like you already know that there are big smallies there. Good luck and keep at it. They should continue to hit well into June.

Here is what we did yesterday...

WACHUSETT REPORT   6/1

So after my defeat at Lake Ontario, we left town and headed back towards home. I wanted to stop somehwere on the way to fish and thought about the Housatonic which is right in the way. But when I saw the conditions in MA (overcast) , we headed to Wachusett. It was the perfect time and conditions for big white perch. We fished a rock we call aggrevation rock from 3:30-8:30 with puffed crawlers on the bottom. She did not disapoint us. We got 3 smallmouths 15-17", a 13" rainbow trout, 6 bullheads 10-14", and 3 big white perch. I had the new scale and the perch weighed 1Lb 1oz, 1Lb 4oz, and 1Lb 7oz. We missed a whole bunch of runs, so we could have gotten more.

Bassfisher,

Try fishing the coves on the 110 & 70 sides of the main lake for the smallies. Flagg Cove, Adams, and Andrews Harbor on the Rt70 side, and on the 110 side try near Bull Rock, the coves by Sholan point, and Kendall Cove.

I go all over VT, but mostly fish the SW corner and the NEK. Sometimes the northern Champ valley. This time I will on Lake Salem right in Derby. If you went to Newport, I am sure you are familair with this lake.

I like to fish the Magog tribs in the fall as well as the Mississquoi River in Troy, Westfield, and Lowell.
