Slammin salmon!
« on: Jul 10, 2017, 09:05 AM »
First and foremost thanks to my friends.  Without them trips like this are not possible. I left CT at 1130pm Sat night and met up with  Nate, Aaron, Lance Sunday at 5am  for some LOC derby action on Ontario.  Nate proved to be an excellent captain and we were on fish quickly.  16 for 20 hits or so and tons of action.  First stealhead and koho's for me.  We didnt place any fish but I did land a 18lb king.  We had one fish break Nate off on a huge hit and Lance lost a monster after a 20 minute battle.  Great trip.

Great times with good people...and the fish were hungry.  Made the nearly 700 mile ride worth it!

Beautiful fish!  The only salmon I've ever cughtare those 7" fingerlings they used to stock in the tributaries of the CT River.  Loks like the ones you cught would give a great fight.
