Back on the water with Hookset
« on: Jun 28, 2006, 10:06 AM »
Well all, I have been away for a while dealing with getting rid of my f*lthy, n*sty, sk*nky, soon-to-be-ex-wife.  Not to mention, it complained about my love of fishing.  This process hasn't afforded me much fishing time(or much money), and even less posting time.  However, I am glad to be back on the water a little here and there and I am stoked to be back on this site, I have sincerely missed the friendly banter. I am also looking forward to getting out with some of the folks on here that I have fished with in the past, and hopefully a few new fishing partners.  So, here are a few photos of my limited escapades this season.  They were taken in the Hudson in various locations, as well as 28 miles off the shore of Hampton, NH.  Looking forward to seeing you on the water:

We'll start off with a couple of kitties:

Here are a few random LMB from the slop of the Hudson:

The first has a very faint lateral line and was VERY pale:

A fatty on a fluke:

A SLOB that I could not get in frame, the downside of fishing alone.  Notice, she is right next to my head and you can't even see her dorsal fin:

Another LMB the same day:

My buddy with a nice lergemouth in a sloppy area in the Hudson complete with seaplanes zinging overhead(look familiar Dwaytkus?):

Another buddy with his first ever crappie, on a 4 wt fly rod no less!

A LMB 30 minutes after the crappie in the same slop:

Now on to Hampton, NH.  My buddy with 1 of his many pollock and haddock.  This is a pollock:

My biggest pollock of the day:

My buddy with a double:

The fish box just before filleting:

A tribute to a friend on IS who lives WAY up north.  He usually bites the dorsal fins, I have my own spin.  Rather kiss this fish than my ex:

Sorry to hear about the woman problems...  ::) BUT, glad to see you back on the site!  It's good to know that even during the thickest B.S. that you could get away and do a little fishing.  Enjoy the freedom of being able to fish whenever you want to and not catching hell for it!  :D  By the way, great pics!

Are you back in town for a while thru the summer, going to have to hook up sometime.
Nice to see that you've been out on the water a little bite with all the other crap going on.

funny thing about that.  ;D

Ya know, I almost want to say I recognize some of those freshwater spots...awesome fish dude.

Here's a little saying I learning from a professor in college about woman problems

" 'Tis better to have loved and lost, then to live with that BlTCH for the rest of your life"

I don't think you have ever seen any of these spots, they're SECRET!! ;)

Ah yes, I hold a similar sentiment to the proverb you included.  Sometimes it's not how you get rid of it, just important that it's gone.  No more complaints about fishing, either.  Upgrading wasn't hard when you start with one with no morals.

See you on the water!
