Caught this rainbow yesterday afternoon with some falls colors in the yard.

Nice shot, but I though Rainbows had their best colors when they're spawning in the spring. ::)

ive noticed that here in WNY, we have more leaves on the ground than colored ones in trees ??? i wonder what that means ??? maybe its a sign of a nice long cold winter, plus the more leaves on the ground the better for bow hunting, but i find i weird that the leaves are falling before they change color ???

I believe it has something to do with the strange weather this year and the invasion from the tent Caterpillars this year that literally ate trees to their death. I have seen alot of dead trees this year  and alot of trees that struggled all year to survive with very few leaves on them.

A few areas are starting to turn nicely. I know the Oatka Valley is looking great.

ah when I went up salmon fishing their was some really good colors along the roads! I should have took some pictures! Im going to the cottage this weekend, hopefully theirs a few nice ones their for our bow opener. Ill try and take some pics!
