Yes, looks like they tried but regardless, once in a life time  fish and congrats to her. In a kayak too, that's an accomplishment in and of itself.

What is really crazy is that she was "jigging a rooster tail for trout".  Not even a fishing kayak and probably 6 lb test or something, lol.  Just goes to show that once you think you know what you're doing....... ::)

In a lake I used to live 3 mins from that was never stocked with pike!
