Fished the same area again this morning with the same approach and ended up with 9 keepers and at least that many throwbacks but not 1 single bass this morning cold front maybe had them shut down?

Last weekend had 5 keepers and no undersize Walleyes. 1st drift 2  back to back. Nothing after. Nothing Sunday but 3 on Monday. 17'' - 18.5''. Finished the year with 16 and only 2 undersized. Closing camp up next month and may get another chance depending on the weather. Don't fish it in the winter anymore so summer is my time to put them in the freezer. Definitely a down year. Water way way low.........

While searching for the meaning of life an older gentleman showed me how to fish. Since then I FOUND IT!!!!!!

Another good day BBB.
Kim, not that I have caught many, most have been keepers. It was a down year as far as the walleyes went. Hoping to get out one more time....h2l

Fished 9 am to noon yesterday. North end of main lake. Caught 8, 2 keepers, dropped 2 at net. Was very good 10-12. Worm harnesses 20-22 FOW. 1.0 to 1.2 mph. Didn’t matter what color. They wouldn’t touch a jig BTW. Slow year indeed. Do you guys think the water was different or is the population down?  And where are the larger Walleye in this lake?  Tried everything for 4 years, can’t find one larger than 20 inches here. Thanks

For this year that is a pretty good day. It has been a tough jig bite most of the season. One summer will not tell us much about population. The spawn run this past spring was OK from what I saw. The lake is not as a big walleye producer. In my 60+ years my biggest is 26". Back in the 70's  saw many 20 to 24 inchers....h2l

Aside from the fishing being so-so how’s the lake level? My boats been bone dry for a month  :'( so I’m itching to get back out. Contemplating a weekday soon.

State launches are getting pretty low I cant fish this weekend so I'm thinking I might be done with the resevoir for this year. Some private launches might be ok. Where I fish north of Edinburgh lake level isnt much of an issue except at the launch once on the lake it stays pretty consistent in the middle.
Time to focus on hunting season i suppose  :'(

Took me all year but I finally got a fish....

48" tip to tail.... bad pic with the hand over the tail, the fish and lure were all tangled in the net and we had to get it back into the water.  30 seconds holding the tail in the water and we got a good release.

Heading back out this weekend to catch another hopefully!

I'm keeping my boat in the slip until next Saturday, and then may just take a few trips to Saratoga Lake.

Went by the Broadalbin launch today, it does look very low there too

Thanks BBB/H2L, appreciate the feedback. I was going to head up to champ as well but I heard they’re dredging Westport so I’d have to go even further north to get where I want. Makes for a looong day..  Maybe it is time to focus on the woods like you said Bob. One season winds down while another starts up  :-\

Westport has been bad though so glad they are doing it.  Try willisboro.
