WNY Blizzard
« on: Dec 23, 2022, 02:32 PM »
How is everyone holding up ? I hope you're warm and safe . Not much snow here in No. Tonawanda { Nia county } but crazy winds and horrible visibility.  My DIL is an ER nurse at ECMC and rumor has it that they might be stuck there for a few days.  The wife and I are just hanging out at home with the fireplace going. Stay safe everyone !

Yup…same here no intentions of going anywhere…..until,maybe Sunday……maybe.

My Bride made chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. They go really well with bourbon.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Haven't heard any news recently about the Buffalo area  I hope they're doing ok and crawling out from all that snow  With these temps and wind I'm sure they're getting another dose  Let's all wish them well and a Merry Xmas

Mostly grass showing here near Letchworth state park. Sunny, breezy, 15 degrees. However the 4 degrees last night was the last straw for the battery in my truck. Just clicked.  Slapped the charger on it, good for now.

My daughter’s flight was supposed to leave Buffalo tomorrow morning at 5:20.
Nope!
Airport announced they are closed till 7am Monday.
We won’t see Kelly for Xmas this year.
She said she’ll grab a voucher and come down in February during the mid-winter break.  She’s a school teacher.

Up to a whopping 12* here. Still pretty windy but not as bas as it’s been.

View from my front door today. That is a Jeep Cherokee. Wind dropped down to 33 mph now and snow swung back down. Predict 12 more inches. Power came back on last night.

What a difference 12 hours made.  The snowband moved north and we got pounded.  My truck is buried in a 4ft drift and kept getting my side x side stuck trying to plow.  Didn't make a dent in it.  Will try again in the morning.  Luckily we didn't lose power.  My son is spending the night because of his carbon monoxide detectors going off and clear vents. Better safe than sorry
Merry Christmas to all

Yikes !

We have barely a coating on the ground. What a difference 60 miles makes. Hope you can get dug out soon.

15* and breezy here.
