I don't eat trout very much, but if I have to exclude brookies, I'd say browns. Not a real fan of trout, but they're okay once in a while.

As far as the others, I'd say that perch and pike are my #1 & #2. Fresh pike is the best, especially in the spring, from the St Lawrence River. Mmmmmmmmm....

Smallie taste pretty bad as do most bass but you gotta go yellow perch, bluegill, walleye, crappie in that order for me.

2) Walleyes and Perch (whatever i pull threw the ice or on the boat
