Wind is picking up, temps have dropped 10 degrees in the last half hour.

Satellite tv is out. Good thing I have a stash of Clint movies. Cooking my chicken in the oven☹️

First dinner not on the Weber in months.

The first wave sort of missed my area, but a huge mass is right behind. My dog is acting weird, she's not happy.

Bring in the patio furniture, the front is over us as I write. It's a LULU! Temp has dropped 8 degrees in 15 minutes. I'm looking at a 35 degree swing in the next 12 hours.

Yea...we're getting it now....high winds' rain and little brown out, no tv and hoping not to have to start the generator.

It's just rolling through Oswego now, it's a beauty.  Power went off for a second.  The wind is ripping.  This will knock some of the leaves off of the trees.

Just fought the winds to replace the cover to my cold frame. Strapped it down with a ratchet strap for now. Ripped the hinges and opener right out and flew it across the yard more than 30 yards.

Also noticed the top to my compost bin is laying on the ground. It's been in place for 4 years now.

Guess I have some repairs to do tomorrow,

Sorry to hear that RG, your planter came out really nice. My wife and I were admiring it during the build.
We took a huge straight line wind wall right in the face, had to be 80mph+. I saw it coming across the open valley meadows. Lost 5 Norway spruce, with an old grand dad tree 7+' in diameter 86' tall just missing the house. My business suffered major shingle damage. The heavily dead man cabled down tarp tent storage shelter was ripped up and taken out of site. Found it piled up 1/2 mile away in a pasture over the hill Saturday morning. So instead of going fishing I had to prioritize tasks. Recovered the building 1st, then repaired the roof before any rain.
I'm certainly not Lieutenant Dan! I actually watched the trees coming down, so decided everyone needed to go in the basement and wait it out. The good news is no one was injured or killed! We've seen some big wind before but this one creamed us, BUT it could have been worse. All we lost was just stuff, the house is fine, and we will clean up the debris, stuff can be replaced. So for now the fishing is on hold... for me   >:(

Guess  a lot of us took some damage. I repaired the cold frame yesterday. Took a few hours, but it's good as new. Haven't messed with the compost bin yet. Might  move it to another spot anyway.

It’s an old topic but, it looks like we’re in for some really big winds today. 55+ for a good part of the day.
I tucked away everything that could end up in another county, strapped down my Weber and trough planter and took the flag down.

Thought March was supposed to “go out like a lamb” ?

Still sort of quiet here. Still dry with a light wind and 58 degrees. Wishing the best for all. Lets hope the weather guy overstated the severity again.

Suffering for PTSD like symptoms. Had a oak tree snap Halloween night 2019 and it bounced off the ground and went straight through the wall of the princess’s bedroom. Wind is bending trees as I type
