Bring it on. I'm always up for a good storm.....
The wind has been blowing out of the south at 40 mph all day.... Working outside in shorts and sandels.

That wind was cranking for a short time. I had one tree snap off. Only lost power for a few seconds here.

Just fought the winds to replace the cover to my cold frame. Strapped it down with a ratchet strap for now. Ripped the hinges and opener right out and flew it across the yard more than 30 yards.
Also noticed the top to my compost bin is laying on the ground. It's been in place for 4 years now.
Guess I have some repairs to do tomorrow,

Sorry to hear that RG, your planter came out really nice. My wife and I were admiring it during the build.
We took a huge straight line wind wall right in the face, had to be 80mph+. I saw it coming across the open valley meadows. Lost 5 Norway spruce, with an old grand dad tree 7+' in diameter 86' tall just missing the house. My business suffered major shingle damage. The heavily dead man cabled down tarp tent storage shelter was ripped up and taken out of site. Found it piled up 1/2 mile away in a pasture over the hill Saturday morning. So instead of going fishing I had to prioritize tasks. Recovered the building 1st, then repaired the roof before any rain.
I'm certainly not Lieutenant Dan! I actually watched the trees coming down, so decided everyone needed to go in the basement and wait it out. The good news is no one was injured or killed! We've seen some big wind before but this one creamed us, BUT it could have been worse. All we lost was just stuff, the house is fine, and we will clean up the debris, stuff can be replaced. So for now the fishing is on hold... for me

Guess a lot of us took some damage. I repaired the cold frame yesterday. Took a few hours, but it's good as new. Haven't messed with the compost bin yet. Might move it to another spot anyway.
