From Sweden
« on: Sep 14, 2005, 06:25 PM »
Sorry, no bikini team.  Just a 10+ kilo (22+ pound) northern caught by one of my co-workers in Sweden.  Fish was caught on a 9" firetiger Grandma supplied by yours truly.  While I don't recall the fish's exact length, this pike has put Henrik into the esteemed "100 Club", which requires a 100cm (39.37") pike to qualify.  Enough rambling.... on to the scans!

If memory serves, the last pic represents a European tradition - creating bird nests from northern heads.  I remember seeing a tree near Tibbets Point on the road from Cape Vincent on the St. Lawrence that had a few of these on it.  The tree is long gone, but the memory remains.

Those are some pretty big fangs.  I bet that cat wouldn't be so close if that pike was alive.
