Well i guess i might as well organize all my pics in one thread for this year...

i will start it off with some pics of some carp fishing that i did today.  Myself and a friend of mine hit up a local shallow farmpond that i knew to have a few small carp.  While fishing with corn and modified bolt rigs, we landed 12 carp and 3 bullheads - every single fish was very well hooked right in the corner of the mouth, and also we both broke off a few bigger carp (was using 4lb test UL).  The fish were biting very aggressively, many of them breaking the top on the strike, and offering many fast and long, hard runs.

Myself with a common carp.

A mirror carp with fire orange fins.

My buddy jon working one in.

Jon again with a common carp.

another mirror carp with those bright orange fins.

  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nice carp Lance, I've seen some huge mirror carp before, pushing 70 pounds! Scary, scary fish, harmless though. :P

Hey Red....whats the deal with those mirrors? Are they some type of hybrid or just a funky lookin carp?

they are just a natural variation of a carp, but for some reason some places have them and some dont.

got out for a few hours this afternoon, fished another local pond with some friends of mine. they key was fishing where there was some kind of water movement. I ended up with 14 fish on the day, mostly crappies, with a few perch and small largemouth thrown in.  I was using small jigs fishing them VERY slowly.
