Nice trout Lance.

I like your "check daily" remark - to be young and free and fish every day, doesn't get any better than that.  ;D

I'm actually breaking out from responsibility this afternoon for some stream action myself - finally.

Well i try to fish everyday even while working 40 hours, but it ends up being about 5 days/week.

good luck this afternoon!

took a ride around with the folks today, checked out a few streams and such...

stopped by the battenkill in shushan, and it was very high, but the color was PERFECT (clarity of about 3 feet) but the guys fishing there complained the fish werent biting cause it was "muddy" :cookoo: anyways, on my first and only cast, i caught this 4 point buck

3-4 feet of visibility IMO is the best clarity for river fishing. I have good luck in anything about 1 ft. or better. Some fisherman just don't know how to adjust when the water has some murk in it, the fish will be closer to shore, in places with heavier current, and behind rocks to ambush. You need to use bigger lures/bait during murky water times as well. Nice snake by the way ;)

That's why I should stop being so stubborn about wearing my glasses! LOL ;D Serious it looked like a snake to me before. What do you plan on catching on your next adventure?

Well my buddy jon's birthday was today, and he wanted to do some fishing along with his girlfriend, so we went up to the carp hole, and were not disappointed. nine fish total up to 6lbs, including a number of fish that pulled our rods right into the water.  they were going aerial in the shallow water, making splashy runs and trying to jump.  Again another beautiful weather day.  All our fish came on corn.

Hey Lance I am trying to PM you and it reads this

"PM could not be sent to 'bigredfishing' due to the max. PM limit"

What does this mean
Oh Lord,
There he is.
Feels like a big one.
Please don’t let me lose him.
I’ve never caught one this big before.
I’ll try not to horse him.
And if I land him I promise to release him
And make a graphite replica...
If my wife says it’s okay.
Thank you for the Rapalas.
Amen.

Jeez bigred that lion your holding is going to eat you! JK ;) Nice carp! (If anyone wondered why I said that, I thought his pair of antlers was a snake when I wasn't wearing glasses or contacts)LOL. Do you use dough balls or another secret concoction for those carp?

my bait is no more secret than what comes out of a metal can with the label "sweet corn" - maybe with a few "special" additives - but nothing of consequence 8)

Nice trout Big Red. If you don't mind me asking where did you get them and what were you using? I am always looking for a stream other than the Kaydeross in this area.
