Dude man, is there even any meat on these fish? They sure look a little small to be keeping.
Our stream trout don't get very big out here, especially the brookies. Around here, stocked or not, any stream brookie over 10" is pretty d**n big anyway. The majority of trout that the state stocks in streams are 8"-10".

Those are decent sized brookies, get a good meal off of them. WTG, keep em coming!

weird !! stocking 8-10" fish?? here in sask all trout are about 2" when stocked. it takes about two years before they are even worth catching.

headed up north today after turkey hunting to fish for some native brook trout. This is a picture of 2 of the 4 I caught. I lost 8, flopped off and back into the stream they went.

Please don’t let me lose him.
I’ve never caught one this big before.
I’ll try not to horse him.
And if I land him I promise to release him
And make a graphite replica...
If my wife says it’s okay.
Thank you for the Rapalas.
Amen.

Wow, those are two beautiful fish. So what happens to those colors and patterns in the stocked fish? You can hardly tell they're related.

Went out for some Walleye fishing today and the smallies were biting. I managed to get one walleye though. It was a nice healthy 16 1/2" and will be seeing the frying pan tomarrow night.
The brown trout you seen in my pics a couple nights ago I had for lunch today. Seasoned them with Lemon Pepper and butter in aluminum foil on the grill.........YUMMMMMMY
Notice the lamprey on this one and on the fish in the picture above.
