Great fish Red!
I don't like this hot weather either but the fishing can indeed be good.

First update in a while. Haven't been on here too much, been trying to get as much week night fishing as possible, and I haven't had time to kill at work - but I do have a few fishing pictures.
Last week I got out with my buddies Kyle and Jon for some cats, and we did pretty good. We caught 4 total over twelve - 2 15lbers
I started things off with a hard fighting 9lber that didn't get pictured. Jon took the two next fish, and good ones at that.
His first 15lbs 12oz. 34"
neat macro shot
His other big one 14lbs 15oz 33"
same macro shot, but on this fish
letting him go
Kyle with his 12lb+ fish
Me with my big fish, 15lbs 8oz 32"
Got out with my buddy Brian for some largemouth fishing in the downpours Saturday, and they were biting.
Started off early with this one
Brian takes the next two good ones
including the biggest of the day, this chunky 4lb jig fish
Pike!
solid largemouth
got this big crappie on an 8" plastic worm 13.25"
Got this 3lber that was covered with black splotches
Thats it for now. Also been fishing for river smallies and drifting for cats - both are a total blast on light tackle. Oh yeah, someone shot at me with a BB gun last week one evening. Something about me fishing on state water, but they thought it was private
All I know what that I made it pretty clear they were going to stop or there would be problems
Then kept fishing, hammering smallies the whole time

nice fish, looks and sounds like that crappie was hungry.
Still getting some very nice catfish, how many do you thing you caught before, we should start tagging our fish.
That would be something.
Ran into Mike and he said he caught the same LMB on the river as you a few days ago, the one with the 1 F'ed up eye.
You are just a fish magnet, keep'em coming.

Phew. Its been awhile since I was last on here. I am having a freakin' blast of a summer. I'm getting more fishing time in then ever before, and it is starting to pay off. Unfortunatly though, I don't get on here too much. Alot of my time on here was at work, but since a recent promotion, I have not had any time on here during the day at all. In the evenings, I have been either fishing or (gasp) golfing (yes that is right, after not having picked up a club in 3 years, I went out cold on a local course and had the best round of my life, hitting par on half the holes)
ANYWAY. With the hot weather we had, the fishing had been awesome. Here's a good example of that, a nice jigged up largie
smallie
This weekend, the fishing was fantastic. Friend of mine, and fellow MFF member Catchandrealease pointed me to a good walleye bite.
barely legal
Three keepers (two of which were Brian's.)
Brian and I went out the next day and CREAMED them
We took a total of 11 walleyes, including two larger fish that were released. I even caught one on a bass jig! We ended up with a good well-rounded mixed bag, including the fat crappie on the board.
that evening we went out on Brian's awesome ride. Mike (hudsonriverrat) showed up and showed off a nice bass
Brian's bro Keith with a pike
Brian got the Lunker of the night, this awesome eye that was released

WTG, Lance, we need to hook up, come some product for you to test out.
See you on the water soon.
