I just got back a little while ago from fishing the South Hoosic in Adams for 45 minutes after super this evening.
Sunny, blue skies and 69 degrees. Stream levels just about perfect.
I walked/waded part of my usual "milk run" and fished four holes along the way.
I didn't have any luck with the first two or the last one, but the third one came through with a nice feisty 12" rainbow.
Although I've caught some nice rainbows on other streams (e.g., the East and West Housatonic) earlier this spring, this rainbow was the first one I've caught on my home waters this season.

Cheers on the first at home!
