this is my biggest that i have a pic of. this was going to be my tourny entry for iceshanty.com
p.s. i have caught bigger.
Wheres the pic?no picture, always seem to forget the camera when i need it the most i had it weighed and measured at bay bridge bait shop in north rose on sodus bay plus my family saw the fish i was quite proud of it got some real nice fillets off of the fish i would have stuffed it but its not my first 17 incher butit is my heaviest thanks
well give me all the measurements so i can at least visualise it.all we did when we measured it in the bait shop was from tip of the mouth to tip of the tail with a flexable tape and weighed it on a digital rapala scale
Here are a couple fatties from last November. For perspective the walleyes have to be 15" to keep.take the biggest perch on your stringer of fish and add about 3 to 4inches and youll have the perch i caught, i do remember that the egg sac in the perch was as big as some perch most people keep, by the way thats a really nice stringer of perch and walleyes that you have in the picture ,a good day of fishing by anyones standards good luck to you

perchfisher, If anybody tells you those are sauger or saugeye I suggest not listening to their advice on fish. They aren't sauger and if people where you are are calling them sauger, they are catching walleyes and don't even know what they caught. Those are pure walleye. Sauger run smaller and look a bit different. They are members of the perch family one way or another, and are all mighty tasty.im sure they are tasty but walleye arent silver/grey they are greenish yellow ive never heard of a grey walleye
my biggest was a modest 12 incheri apologize i didnt no that they could be diff colors becuase i have never caught anything but greenishyellow but anyways nice walleyes and how big are those 2 perch?
It's weird how they have different colors but it's just one of those things. Time of year can definitely make a difference. The photo with the 2 large perch was from November and the perch were a solid 15". I have seen 16" ers from the same lake. 15" is my biggest.
i guess i'll throw this pic up againThat is huge :o where did you catch that perch?
