Title: Save Our Parks!
Post by: jdisci on Sep 04, 2008, 10:56 AM
Below is a link to sign an online petition to help save our parks for all concerned.

www.gopetition.com/online/21603.html

I've also been in touch with Patty Smith at the Illinois River Area Chember of Commerceand she will be updating me via. email/phone about upcoming events.

As of writing this there is a rally tentively scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 20-21.(not finalized yet,I'll keep all posted as I get new info)The plan is to get reps from all the districts affected by the closings and have a rally at Illini State Park in Marseilles.

Please take the time to sign the petition, every signature counts.

Thanks,
Joe Discianno

Thanks for the link Because of these closings I am losing 3 different areas within 10 miles of my home to the closing of the Hennepin canal site closing alone.  So everyone please sign the petition.
