Title: Okuma Catalina CT15-L
Post by: Trophy Hunter639 on May 11, 2005, 12:50 PM
I ordered one of these baitcast reels for big cats on the advice of Stu Mackay from Cats on The Red here in Manitoba I was wondering if anyone here has one or knows anything about this reel?

I haven't used the okuma catalina personally, however, i have heard bad things about casting reel line from okuma, from those that put their reels to the test.  If you have any problems with it, the Abu-Garcia C3 line, particularly the 6500, and 7000 series are just absolutely iron tough, and can handle any catfish in Noth America.

Abus are some of the best out there, ecspecially for the price.
Then again, I'm hoping to win a Okuma reel in a NAFC contest this month.
