Title: carp fishing minnesota

Just wondering if anyone fishes carp near anoka, minnesota.   I need some new spots.  mine are getting too crowded.  :-[   If anyone could give me some new spots it would be greatly appreciated!!

I can't help you directly, but there are carp in the lower Red, so it would make sense that there would be some in the upper Red River.  You may have to do some baiting to get them to congregate in an area though.

Try Minnetonka.  I fish over by the Wayzeta (sp?) Marina alot.  In the spring when the weeds are just starting to green the carp congregate under the lights on the docks.  Go there on a calm starry weeknight and it can be insane.  I've got 'em up to 20lbs, but I've seen bigger that wouldn't bite.  The most fish I've seen there at one time is about 100, and they're all pretty decent.  We even get some bass, muskie, pike, eyes, gills, and craps coming by too.
