my question is, how you attatch your trailer hooks? and then how can i do it with a tiny hook. i have trailers for bass. i get the rubber on the big eye and it works great. what i have been doing is using a tiny gill hook as a trailer. the reason is all the hits and misses i used to get while cast for eyes at night. i knew it was big panfish and wanted them hooked up. so i been just tied an aberdeen on with line tight on the main hook. what want to know is there a better way? are there small hooks with bigeyes? i have some antiques but do they make them today? i want the hooks to be together. i dont want a connection that makes this longer. i haven't tried wire yet but thought about it. or maybe a tiny split ring?
my super secret night eye weapon. shhhhh
crappie spinner with aberdeen trailer dressed with a bobby garland glow baby shad. the eyes and hog panfish love it rolled across feeding flats in the moonlight. its a do all catch all bait.

sorry about the blurry pic, but you get the idea.

Small piece of surgical tubing on both sides of the panfish hook eye... before and after the panfish hook, on the main spinnerbaits hook.

lol read it again king perch. i already said the hook eye is not big enough or that would be my choice.

Do search on stinger hooks and tie up what you want. Most likely snell a small hook with a stiff line and tie direct to your rig. Drop of super glue keep it tight or some floss.

i thought about trying to bend the aberdeen hooks out like that. figured it would make them weak. its also kinda permanent. thanks for the link.
i was thinking at dinner on this. im wondering if i can thread my #6 aberdeen on a split rring. then slip rubber trailer hook tube over the split ring then just hook that on the big hook. i mite have to turn the eye on the #6, to make it hang parallel with the main hook though. if i have time tomorrow im gona play with that a bit.
appreciate the input guys

I tie size 6-8 in my fly vice for eyes , as the ones you buy are little to long , there are lot of U-tubes on tying stingers ,you would be surprised how many sunnies hit the red no 8 , the pre tied Gammy stinger only goes down to size 1, but I do like the loop , that’s how I connect my high low rigs
