Lures from NGC sports
« on: Apr 12, 2006, 09:14 PM »
Hi guys have any of you tried any of the lures from NGC sports?
I came across there web site and some of the lures look interesting, like the Kicktail XL-7, the  bite light, the walking worm, the minnow jig and the frog lure. :)
What do you guys think of these lures, effective as they claim, or a just another lure. :-\

Here is there web site.  http://www.ngcsports.com/?ccode=GOOGLE&gclid=CKa48ebfqIQCFUPrJAodtQHRfw

I think 90% of the lures out there look interesting. It's so hard to decide what to buy. I believe the best lure out there is the one that your are comfortable fishing with that catches fish. Whenever I try new lures, I lose my confidence in them after about 15 minutes of not catching fish and drop it back into the black hole.

I  like the looks of the Kicktail XL-5/7 but theres no mention on the length of these things. If they are on the larger side I may try picking some up for big bass and toothies. If not then I'll wait until they come down quite a bit in price.
Chasing them pigs with fins!

AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.

I would not buy them, only because of how much I hate their advertising.....They regularly posts adds in IN-Fisherman and they try to make them look like articles with headlines like "Patented lure out-fishes live bait 3 to 1; could be banned"...I have seen that one for a few of there products.

NAFC also advertises for them. They sell those Bite Lite models in your enrollment package...$50..

I had one as a gift last year, and was using it for bass. At the end of a retrieve i had a real big fish follow it to the boat. The next cast ( probably a stupid idea) it gets close to the boat, and poof, another lure lost to a darn pike.
