OK, I need to add some things to this tale:
1st - YES, I specifically asked one week prior if there was any rules of the boat I needed to follow and was told to just not bring a Banana on his boat,
it is bad luck
I am emphatically SORRY for this HUGE oversight on my part.
2nd - Yes, that was an awesome rush and my biggest ever bucketmouth.
Thanks again to Zook for taking me out fishing and getting me out of the wind, it was every bit as windy as he said.
3rd - I can really wield my Abu C3 with the Fireline on it, but I had some serious issues with my larger Abu with the mono, I put that rod down and never went back to it.
I was happy enough to be taken out by Zook, I didn't want to overstep any bounds by using his equipment. If I can't even use the gun I brought, what is the sense of even stepping in the woods?
I told Zook I am an amateur fisherman, and I stick by that statement. Zook put me on the spots, I just used educated guesses at where to throw the lure and what kind of lure to throw.
4th - I need to correct Zookers catch count for me, I caught a total of 4 bass: the 5.8 was the first fish of the day, I caught 2 more within 10 minutes in the same area that were not keepers, and caught 1 more an hour later that would have kept, maybe 1.5#. It wasn't that bad for him, well, maybe it was, I think he got 1 bump all day.
5th - I need to apologize again to Mr Zooker for bringing a Banana in his boat, eating said banana, catching a HOG shortly thereafter, and finally I need to apologize to Mr Zooker for suggesting that he may want to eat a Banana next time.
I now understand that I may have been rubbing salt in the skunked wound, SORRY.
Mike
