Oh, absolutely. If someone has the $$ to go on a ranch hunt, and they're enjoying themselves, good for them. Have a ball.
Not everyone grew up on 200 acres of farmland to cut their teeth on.
You've just got to take the television shows with a grain of salt sometimes.

I tend to take the shows with a block of salt ;D

These guys have to do those things to make good tv if they didnt no one would watch it.....this is there jobs and they have to do the best they can to get people to watch there shows.....as for the taping the recovery they have to find the deer ahead of time and clean up the entry/exit hole, stick the tongue back in there mouth and make sure its presentable on camera (animal rights people and anti-hunters im sure played a large role in this  >:().....if they didnt have to do that im sure they would video the initial recovery for you......you also have to remember that these deer that they shoot in iowa, kansas and ohio are most of the time free-range whitetails.....these deer get up to 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old they arent stupid.....have you ever watched closely at a big mature deer coming in they are very weary of what is going on.....i dont care if they got placed in the stand it still takes a pretty good hunter to consistently take big mature bucks every year and i cant imagine how hard it is to do it all with a camera rolling.

Slo and Anchored, Got your back on that one....the "behind the dead buck camera shot" as their  TRYING.. to find it, the STAR hunters buying hunts to put on THEIR show proving their great hunters, when the ranch owners did ALL the work finding the spots and placing the stands..... puke... hunt in my world. And my pet peive statment from these fly guys.... " nicely done... nicely done"
I remember EVERY TIME I fished or hunted. The REST of the time I...uh...um..... musta been doing something else that didnt matter.

"""All because they shot a 10 point over a texas feeder or an iowa food plot,or maybe a bear over a dozen crispy cremes."""

actually, I think it's fun watching them over act...good stuff....but some of them may actually be emotionally touched enough to react that way...

I watch the shows because I like seeing them monster bucks. I don't actually think those people are good "hunters"...but they sure are good shots

the shows would definitely be much more enjoyable if they actually taught us something, like all the how's and why's they chose that spot and that tree in that corner, besides the fact that we can assume they have a food plot and lots of cameras they have been watching right up until that hunt.

but, like Trap says, one more person in the woods is one less telling that I can't
