Well we found some ice on da Horn. Not much ,but it was not cracking under me.
3&1/3 maybe 4 inches is what we had. I felt somewhat confident with my new Artic Armor.
Drowning is not what I'm searching for ....but slab crappies where definitely being zeroed in on by Mallard,Chopperman88 and myself.
Just as the sun broke through the trees Mallard strikes 1st blood.
They were slow to start ,but it was not
long and Chopperman tags a nicer slab.
Gary's a great guy and for the most part stayed pretty quite until Steve & I bashed him around a little.
Gary say's you caught anything yet and I go....a rockie.
Well I went on a tear.Steve was drilling them as fast or faster. It was hard to tell with the flury we had around 10:30.
A little while later in the day Gary say's he caught a gill.
When I seen that bull I sure was envious.
What a fight he must have had ,but as it goes with Gary....he's a sneaky guy.
Here's ole Greenhead rearing on one!
Why is it I'm always shooting vids of Steve?
He needs a camera.
Here's some pics of the day.
We ended up moving to another lake...Wauk to finish the day as the bite really tapered off.
I will say it was a great day to meet a new fishing bud and he got a chance to see T.H.E Jig in action.
I believe he started the day with waxies ,but I know he ended with T.H.E. Jig.
Well here the rest of the pics from today.
What a great day on the ice and out of the shopping malls!
